Studying social science is, broadly speaking, looking at how society around us works and incorporates diverse topics such as economics, environmental studies, anthropology and politics. Our research provides us with an opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on people’s lives. From international research on dementia, to contributions to teaching and social work practises, our work makes a difference. Gain a comprehensive understanding of society, culture and human interaction and develop relevant skills for employment including the ability to think critically and analytically. We welcome applications from those with equivalent qualifications to those stated, including SVQs/NVQs, access programmes and overseas qualifications. Applications from students with non-standard qualifications or work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
